As you know, Google has launched another subscription plan for YouTube, designed for people who don’t like watching ads while viewing videos. It was introduced on September 29, 2025.
With this plan, you can watch YouTube videos ad-free across devices, including smartphones, laptops, and smart TVs. However, it does not remove ads from music content, YouTube Shorts, or ads that appear during search and browsing.
If we talk about why it’s cheaper — the reason is that YouTube wants to offer users a more affordable option to watch videos without ads. It’s cheaper because it excludes features like offline downloads, background play, and access to YouTube Music.
